Description
Sui Dhaaga: Made in India is a 2018 Hindi comedy-drama directed by Sharat Katariya and produced by Aditya Chopra and Maneesh Sharma for Yash Raj Films. It stars Varun Dhawan and Anushka Sharma as a married couple in small-town India, with Raghubir Yadav and Yamini Dass as his parents. Mauji is a cheerful errand boy at a sewing machine shop, where his boss humiliates him for fun. His late grandfather was a tailor, and Mauji is a skilled tailor himself. When his wife Mamta sees how he is treated, she urges him to put self-respect before money and revive the family trade. Against his father's wishes, Mauji quits his job, and the couple set out to build their own clothing business from scratch. Sui Dhaaga released in cinemas on 28 September 2018 and was a box-office success. It received five Filmfare nominations, including Best Actress (Critics) for Anushka Sharma.
