Description
The Trap (German: Die Falle) is a 2026 German psychological thriller miniseries written and directed by Isabel Kleefeld and produced by Constantin Film for Netflix. Based on Melanie Raabe's 2015 debut novel, it reunites the team behind the International Emmy-winning series Dear Child and stars Friederike Becht, Hans Löw and Matthias Brandt. Bestselling novelist Lisa Konrad has lived in seclusion for nearly ten years since witnessing the murder of her sister, Anna. When she recognises star reporter Robert Lenzen on television as the man she believes is the killer, and the police dismiss her, she decides to use herself as bait. She writes a novel based on Anna's case and invites Lenzen for her first-ever interview, hoping to get his DNA and prove his guilt. All six episodes of The Trap premiered on Netflix on 13 October 2026.
